Bro. Ronnie & Sis. Kathy Lumpkin
Brother Ronnie and Sister Kathy Lumpkin lead our children’s ministry here at Bethlehem Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Brother Ronnie grew up, and lived in the New Albany area in North Mississippi. He attended Myrtle High school where in 1983 he graduated. During this time he attended Pontotoc Apostolic Church where he was baptized in the name of Jesus, and received the Holy Ghost.
Sister Kathy much like her husband grew up in North Mississippi In the town of Hickory Flat. She was raised here as a member of Bethlehem Church where her mother, Sis Jonnie Sue Brown had attended since she was ten years old. Sister Kathy went to school at Hickory Flat Attendance Center until seventh grade. The year she started the eighth grade, she transferred to Bethlehem Christian School where in 1984 she graduated. By the age of eight she had already been baptized in the wonderful name of Jesus, and received the gift of the Holy Ghost.
In the fall of 1984 Brother and Sister Lumpkin became husband, and wife. They decided to make Bethlehem Church their home where they have remained faithful members. They now have three children all of which are very active members here at Bethlehem Church. Joshua their oldest was born in 1985. He is the resident sound technician here at Bethlehem Church. Daniel their middle son was born a few years later in 1990. You can find him on stage singing in the choir on Sunday nights, and in the youth class on Wednesday nights assisting with the youth. Their youngest child Kristin, born in 1998 plays an active role in the children’s ministry, and can also be found singing in the choir.
Since 2012 Brother and Sister Lumpkin have been using the skills, and experiences they have picked up over the years to head up the children’s department. They have a real burden for children, and are very excited about what God has planned for the children’s department.
